COLIN N JORDAN

Mike is finally is coming of age – at forty!

It’s like a second puberty, not that he remembers much from the unremarkable first. Barely coping, Mike is tormented by male-pattern lust, conflicted about his marriage to Melina and in denial about his dubious fertility.

If that wasn't enough, Mike regularly has his self-esteem obliterated by his best (only) friend, and nemesis, Geoff.

Worst still, he’s a psychologist but has no remedy for his own mental demise. In a most improbable crisis, however, Mike’s quickening slip into existential chaos is momentarily halted by finally having something useful to do.

Being a coward, evader of obstacles and prone to fainting spells, becoming a hero comes with a certain level of reluctance for Mike, but with all who matter to him now relying on him, he'll just have to cope under the pressure.

So, will Mike be the man for the job?
